Privacy Policy
Rise & Pray · Last updated 29 July 2026
Rise & Pray is a daily prayer app. This policy describes what it collects, why, and what control you have. It is written to be read, not skimmed past.
The short version
Rise & Pray does not ask for your name, email address, or phone number. It has no advertising, no analytics SDKs, and no third-party trackers. Nothing you write is sold, shared, or used to train anything.
What is collected
An anonymous account. On first launch the app creates an anonymous account so your content can sync and be restored. It is a random identifier. It is not linked to your Apple ID, your email, or your device's advertising identifier, and it cannot be used to identify you.
What you write. Journal entries and your own written prayers are stored against that anonymous account. They are private. Database access rules restrict every row to the account that created it, so no other user can read them.
Community prayer requests. Posts you share to the Community board are visible to everyone using the app. They are published under the name "Anonymous" — your identifier is never displayed. Do not post anything you would not want to be public.
App preferences. Your chosen focus areas, reminder time, narrator voice, streak, and prayer counts, so the app works the same across launches.
Purchase status. Whether you have an active Rise & Pray Plus subscription. Payment itself is handled entirely by Apple. Rise & Pray never sees your card, your billing address, or your Apple ID.
What is not collected
- Your name, email address, or phone number
- Your location
- Your contacts, photos, calendar, or health data
- Advertising or tracking identifiers
- Analytics on how you use the app
The app displays no ads and contains no advertising SDKs.
Who processes data
| Service | Purpose | What it receives |
|---|---|---|
| Supabase | Database, authentication, audio hosting | Your anonymous account and its content |
| RevenueCat | Subscription management | Purchase status and an anonymous identifier |
| Apple | Payment processing, notifications | Handled under Apple's own privacy policy |
None of these are permitted to use your content for their own purposes.
Notifications
Prayer reminders are scheduled locally on your device. Turning them off in Settings, or in iOS Settings, stops them.
Deleting everything
Settings → Delete Account permanently removes your account, your journal, your own prayers, your community posts, and your streak. It is immediate and cannot be undone.
Deleting your account does not cancel a paid subscription, because Apple bills it, not us. Cancel it in Settings → Apple Account → Subscriptions.
Children
Rise & Pray is not directed at children under 13 and does not knowingly collect information from them.
Objectionable content
The Community board carries user-generated content. Every post can be reported, and every author can be blocked, from the "…" menu on the post. Reported content is hidden from you immediately and reviewed within 24 hours. Accounts that post abusive content are removed.
Changes
Material changes to this policy will be reflected in the date above and, where the change is significant, noted in the app.
