Rise & Pray · Last updated 3 August 2026

Rise & Pray is a daily prayer app. This policy describes what it collects, why, and what control you have. It is written to be read, not skimmed past.

The short version

Rise & Pray does not ask for your name, email address, or phone number. It has no advertising, no analytics SDKs, and no third-party trackers. Nothing you write is sold, shared, or used to train anything.

What is collected

An anonymous account. On first launch the app creates an anonymous account so your content can sync and be restored. It is a random identifier. By itself it is not your name, email, phone number, or device advertising identifier.

Sign in with Apple, if you choose it. Signing in is optional. It links a recovery identity to the same account so your journal and preferences can survive a new phone. Rise & Pray requests nothing from Apple except an identifier unique to this app — not your name, not your email, not a private relay address. We still do not learn who you are in the ordinary sense; we only learn that the same Apple-backed identity returned to the app. The app works fully without it.

What you write. Journal entries and your own written prayers are stored against your account. They are private. Database access rules restrict every row to the account that created it, so no other user can read them.

Community prayer requests. Posts you share to the Community board are visible to everyone using the app. They are published under the name "Anonymous" — your account identifier is never shown as a display name. Do not post anything you would not want to be public.

App preferences. Your chosen focus areas, reminder time, narrator voice, streak, and prayer counts, so the app works the same across launches.

Purchase status. Whether you have an active Rise & Pray Plus subscription, via Apple and our subscription partner. Payment itself is handled entirely by Apple. Rise & Pray never sees your card, your billing address, or your Apple ID password.

What is not collected

The app displays no ads and contains no advertising SDKs.

SupabaseDatabase, authentication, audio hostingYour account identifier and its content
RevenueCatSubscription managementPurchase status and an app user identifier (aligned with your account when signed in)
ApplePayment processing; Sign in with Apple if you use itHandled under Apple's own privacy policy

None of these are permitted to use your journal or prayers for their own product training or advertising.

Notifications

Prayer reminders are scheduled locally on your device. Turning them off in Settings, or in iOS Settings, stops them.

Deleting everything

Settings → Delete Account permanently removes your account, your journal, your own prayers, your community posts, and your streak. It is immediate and cannot be undone.

Deleting your account does not cancel a paid subscription, because Apple bills it, not us. Cancel it in Settings → Apple Account → Subscriptions.

Children

Rise & Pray is not directed at children under 13 and does not knowingly collect information from them.

Objectionable content

The Community board carries user-generated content. Every post can be reported, and every author can be blocked, from the "…" menu on the post. Reported content is hidden from you immediately. We review reports promptly, aiming to do so within 24 hours. Accounts that post abusive content may be removed.

Changes

Material changes to this policy will be reflected in the date above and, where the change is significant, noted in the app.
